The Trade Digitalization Index (TDI) is a joint initiative of five United Nations Regional Commissions (ECA, ECE, ECLAC, ESCAP and ESCWA), and UNCTAD, coordinated by ESCAP. The TDI underscores the significance of trade digitalization in enhancing and streamlining trade procedures, offering multiple benefits such as lowering compliance costs, facilitating faster movement of goods, and fostering opportunities for SMEs in cross-border trade. This database covers the years 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023. The most recent set (2023) includes a total of 164 countries.
